  With the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing, Green Future", the 34th China International Glass Industry Technology Exhibition in Beijing was attended by nearly 1,000 companies from 31 countries and regions around the world, focusing on the technological breakthroughs in the glass industry in the direction of high-end, intelligent and green.

  At the exhibition, innovative products such as aviation glass, vacuum glass, fireproof glass, and aerogel glass became the focus, such as aviation glass to achieve bird strike resistance and high light transmittance through chemical reinforcement and precision hot bending technology, vacuum glass to extend the life of lead-free full tempering technology to more than 20 years, and aerogel glass to solve the problem of heat insulation and lighting balance, becoming the core material of ultra-low energy consumption buildings. Leading companies such as Kaisheng Group and China National Building Materials Institute have also launched cutting-edge products such as 8.6 generation TFT-LCD glass substrates and 30 micron flexible folding glass, deeply integrating big data, AI intelligence and glass manufacturing to promote the development of new quality productivity in the industry.

  Shahe City, as an important town in the national glass industry, led a team by Rong Huakui, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, to participate in the exhibition, exhibiting thousands of glass varieties, covering high-end categories such as float original sheets, deep-processed glass and borosilicate special glass, and reached more than 300 cooperation intentions on the spot, with an order amount of 260 million yuan. During the exhibition, Shahe City and China National Building Materials International Engineering Co., Ltd. signed a total investment of 250 million yuan for the Hebei Dejin five-line ultra-white float equipment renewal project to promote the upgrading of the production line to digitalization and automation.
What is more noteworthy is that Shahe and the Price Monitoring Center of the National Development and Reform Commission have released the "China (Shahe) Glass Price Index" for the third consecutive year, which is highly linked with the glass futures price of Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange, confirming Shahe's status as a national glass pricing center. At the exhibition, Shahe glass enterprises demonstrated the results of the transformation from architectural glass to industrial glass to global merchants by displaying high value-added products such as 1.1 mm ultra-thin glass and photovoltaic backsheet glass, and merchants from more than 10 countries such as North America and Europe discussed cooperation on the spot, laying the foundation for opening up the international market.

  In the face of the current downturn in the glass futures market, the breakthrough path of Shahe industry has taken shape. On the one hand, through technological transformation, the traditional float production line has been transformed into a "one kiln and multiple lines" model, increasing the deep processing rate to 40%, and extending the products to high-end fields such as automotive windshields, electronic displays, and photovoltaic modules, such as the profit of a single heavy box after the transformation of Yingxin Glass Company reached 30 yuan; On the other hand, relying on the "Digital Empowerment Action of the Glass Industry", the construction of an industrial Internet platform to optimize production management, and at the same time accelerate the substitution of clean energy, the coal-to-gas project will save 400,000 tons of standard coal per year after it is put into operation, and 11 glass companies are sprinting for A-level certification of environmental performance.

  In the future, Shahe needs to continue to strengthen the two-wheel drive of "technology + capital", with the help of the market guidance of the glass price index, promote the production capacity to tilt towards domestic substitution fields such as electronic glass and pharmaceutical glass, and build a complete industrial chain from original film manufacturing to functional application through in-depth cooperation with leading enterprises such as Kaisheng Group.

  As Hu Jianjun, president of Shahe Glass Association, said, the index is not only a "barometer" of the market, but also a "traction rope" for industrial upgrading - under the coordinated promotion of green transformation and intelligent manufacturing, Shahe is expected to transform from a "northern glass benchmark" to a global high-end glass intelligent manufacturing base.
