2025 Curtain Wall Design Competition [Project Exhibition] Sofoen - CNNC Xiong'an Science and Technology Park

The project is located in four core plots, including D01-03-14 Science Park, northwest of the start-up area of Xiong'an New Area, Hebei Province, with a total construction area of about 197,000 square meters, consisting of six buildings, aiming to build the Xiong'an headquarters of CNNC integrating "scientific and technological innovation, international exchanges and high-end services".

In terms of curtain wall design, Sofoen has tailor-made 15 curtain wall systems for different functional buildings such as offices and exhibitions. Curtain wall types include unit curtain wall, frame curtain wall, surface materials include glass, aluminum veneer, perforated aluminum veneer, stone, honeycomb stone, metal stretch mesh, aluminum alloy grille, etc. The system design closely follows the three-star green building standards of Xiong'an, and customizes multi-system solutions for the differentiated needs of convention and exhibition centers and scientific research office buildings. The 2# building convention and exhibition center is different from the conventional frame curtain wall system of other buildings, and adopts a passive system frame curtain wall to optimize performance in an all-round way. In addition to the first floor, a large number of unit-type curtain walls are used in scientific research office buildings, of which the standard unit plates are divided into two types, one is a combination of stone and aluminum veneer; the other is a folded line unit curtain wall made of glass and aluminum plates. The project involves a long-span glass curtain wall, and the keel is combined with steel and aluminum, which reduces the amount of aluminum profile and also reduces the cross-sectional size of the keel, making the effect slimmer and achieving visual transparency and shock.

#楼为满足近零能耗近零碳要求 2 of this project, high-performance insulation materials such as vacuum insulation panels and rigid polyurethane gaskets are used in many places in the curtain wall system to better eliminate the generation of cold bridges. The gap between the curtain wall and the structural wall is sealed with durable airtight materials, that is, the indoor side is made of waterproof vapor barrier membrane, and the outdoor side is made of waterproof vapor permeable membrane.
