2025 Curtain Wall Design Competition [Project Exhibition] Zhouyu - Sichuan Nanchong, Southern Eye

The design combines the coexistence of "silk" and "gemstone" systems with the surrounding interchanges and the suspension structure of the three bridges. The inside and outside reveal the tension between rigidity and softness, just like the dialogue and vivid energy between nature and architecture, competition and recreation, poetry and technology.

Building scale: The total construction area is about 21,519.43 square meters, the total height is about 32 meters, the total steel consumption is about 2,200 tons, and the curtain wall area is about 34,000 square meters. The inner space of the building is supported by a "gem" structural system, which simultaneously carries a huge dome with a span of 90 meters, a silk skin with a 10-meter outer protrusion and a ring corridor, which has distinctive characteristics and forms an inner façade, realizing the unity of structure, space and façade.

Main functions: The main body of the building is divided into two main floors, and the upper space accommodates an indoor basketball hall for 3,000 people, which is the national Class B basketball hall standard; The lower space is the Civic Sports Center, which includes a swimming pool with a 50-meter standard swimming lane, as well as badminton, table tennis, fitness yoga and other functions. The sunken landscape square can also be flexibly used as an open sports venue, and it is also a public space to get close to the inland river water feature and experience nature.

Landscape square: sinking design, one stroke, integrating the city with nature, integrating architecture and landscape, forming a continuous spatial sequence along the waterfront, and the architectural space and the square and landscape penetrate each other through gray space to create an organic and integrated sense of place experience.

Environmentally friendly: pay attention to green buildings, with rich vegetation and water bodies in the site, providing water-friendly space, and the building gently intervenes in the environment to meet the two-star green building standard.

Social effect: After the completion of the project, it will be used as a new landmark building in the southern county, enrich the new functions of the business format, inject a catalyst into the vitality and development of urban activities, and become a "city living room" and "new business card" of the city that shows the charm of the south.

Curtain wall design:

The gymnasium has a scale of 22,000 square meters, with a total of two main floors, and the upper space accommodates an indoor basketball hall for 3,000 people, which is the standard for national second-class arenas; Yoga and other functions in the lower space. As a civic sports center, the swimming pool including a 50-meter standard swimming lane, as well as a landscape square with badminton, table tennis, and healthy public space sinking can also be flexibly used as open sports venues, and it is also close to the inland river water scenery and experience the same light illumination room.

The entire streamer of the project is made of a new material of 4nm thick color composite aluminum plate, according to different angles, the visual effect of the aluminum plate will change color, prevent the direct sunlight from monochromatic reflection to the human eye, give people a soft wall steel skeleton, and avoid optical pollution under strong light.
