1. The U.S. tariff policy affects the production capacity layout in Southeast Asia

The U.S. ITC plans to make a final ruling on Vietnam's PV tariffs by July 2, and if passed, the combined tax rate for Chinese PV glass re-exports through Vietnam could exceed 360%. Companies such as Saint-Gobain and AGC have accelerated the construction of new production lines in Mexico and India to circumvent trade barriers

2. Saint-Gobain intelligent lighting glass patent was approved

Saint-Gobain's patent filed in January for "glass components and form assemblies", which integrates a luminous pattern on the glass surface to enable dynamic lighting effects in buildings and automotive interiors, is expected to be commercialized in 2026, with an initial focus on serving the high-end hotel and luxury vehicle markets.

3. Asahi Glass lays out the photovoltaic market in the Middle East

Japan's Asahi Glass (AGC) has signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia's NEOM New City to provide BIPV with a total installed capacity of 500MW, which is expected to be completed in 2027, making it one of the largest photovoltaic glass application projects in the Middle East.

1. The world's first ultra-clear glass production line of over 26 meters was ignited and put into operation in Zibo
This production line has once rolled off the production line of China's first ultra-clear glass, has produced the world's largest single piece of ultra-clear glass with a length of 26 meters, and has also made Zibo Jinjing ultra-clear glass a business card of China's ultra-clear glass. Today, it has once again broken through the ceiling of the glass industry through technological transformation, reaching 30 meters.
On July 1, Shandong Jinjing Technology Co., Ltd. ignited the five-line technical transformation project of Jinjing. As the engineer ignites the kiln generator, the natural gas burns in the kiln, causing the furnace temperature to rise. After 21 days of baking, the new line will be officially activated.

2. NorthGlass Co., Ltd. assisted the "Tornado" art concept of the FENIX Immigration Museum in the Netherlands

On the banks of the Meuse River in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, the Fenix Immigration Museum, a century-old port warehouse converted into a warehouse, recently opened to the public. The "Tornado" double spiral staircase observation deck, designed by internationally renowned architect Ma Yansong, passes through a complex and crystal clear 3D curved glass roof at the top, pointing straight to the sky. The curved roof glass built by NorthGlass Co., Ltd., with its extremely high technical difficulty and exquisite craftsmanship, perfectly presents the artistic soul of the building, making it a new landmark of Rotterdam harbor.

3. Angu Hi-Tech has laid the foundation for the project with an annual output of 100,000 sets of lightweight civil bulletproof glass

At 10:08 a.m. on July 1, 2025, the groundbreaking ceremony of Anhui Angu Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. (Phase II) with an annual output of 5,000 tons of ion membrane and 100,000 sets of lightweight civil bulletproof glass project was held at the new site of Angu Group (Phase II) factory on the south side of Anhui Jiancheng Bicycle Co., Ltd.
