U.S. tariffs have raised serious concerns among glass exporters in Firozabad

Mukesh ABansal said on Thursday that 70% of Firozabad's handicrafts are exported to the United States.

"Goods worth Rs 400 million have been sent from Firozabad to the US for the Christmas market and are currently on their way to the US. However, rising prices pose a serious threat, and there is a significant risk of damage to goods en route. We can only survive if the government provides special support policies for exporters. He appealed.

It is estimated that Firozabad exports glass and handicrafts worth Rs 20 billion annually to countries around the world, of which more than Rs 14 billion is exported to the United States.

Exporters urged the government to introduce immediate bailouts, including export subsidies and tax incentives. They also called for efforts to eliminate tariffs through trade negotiations with the United States and a long-term strategy to maintain India's competitiveness in the global market.
