2025 Curtain Wall Design Competition [Project Exhibition] Tai Curtain - Jinchen Courtyard

1. Project overview

Jinchen Courtyard is located in Sansheng Street, Jinjiang District, Chengdu, which was once an important agricultural area in Jinjiang, and the historical imprint of the prince consort village has now transformed into a core area of western art, culture and creativity, with cultural landmarks such as the Blue Roof Art Center and Xu Liaoyuan Museum of Modern Art; At the same time, it is close to the Jinjiang Ecological Corridor, surrounded by Xianglong Lake Wetland Park and Jiangjia Art Garden, and the "semi-natural and half-art" scene perfectly fits the ideal of "prosperity when you go out and quiet when you enter".

The project is jointly built by Huafa Co., Ltd. and Jinjiang Tongjian, as the top sequence work of the "Jinchen system", with a total planning of 126 acres and about 78 acres in the first phase, with an ultra-low plot ratio of 1.8 to create a pure low-density villa area, covering a construction area of 195-320 square meters of bungalows and 260-268 square meters of superimposed buildings, positioning the urban collection of high-end residences. The surrounding Metro Line 2 and Line 20 (under planning) connect Shudu Avenue and Tianfu Avenue, quickly reach IFS, Taikoo Li and other business districts, and are surrounded by high-quality resources such as Yandao Street Primary School, Sichuan Normal High School, and Jinjiang Campus of West China Hospital, making life convenient and livable.

2. Scheme design

In order to match the high-end positioning of the project, TAM Tai Curtain Design uses professional curtain wall technology to implement the concept of "gold inlaid with jade" to create a façade system that is both beautiful and functional:

Material and style integration: using "World Trade White" stone, "red gold" aluminum plate with glass curtain wall to build a zero-paint full-wall panel system, the warmth of stone collides with the modern transparency of metal and glass, presenting a luxurious texture like a mirror; The landscape is benchmarked against the "dual core landscape + cross-shaped water axis" of the Aman Hotel in New York, and the curtain wall design realizes the interactive integration of indoor and outdoor landscapes through transparent glass elements.

Customized system solutions: provide differentiated solutions for different forms of bungalows and stacking. The bungalow covers 5 major systems such as stone curtain wall and metal sheet curtain wall, the standard floor is recommended to combine windows (curtain wall-like) + system windows, three-glass and two-cavity design takes into account sound insulation and energy saving, the overhead layer adopts alloy steel composite panel ceiling (dense glue-free), column seam design to avoid hanging dirt; The stacking has been upgraded to 6 major systems (new insulation integrated boards, decorative screens), the entrance canopy adopts factory-welded whole board + organized drainage, and the stone lines are prefabricated with unit boards (such as 400x2800mm, 400x4300mm specifications) to reduce on-site construction errors.

Details control is in the real chapter: strictly follow the principle of stitching, the stone seam of the bungalow is ≤1500mm (4mm seam), the profile is divided ≤6000mm (2mm dense seam), and the superimposed stone seam is ≤ 1200mm (4mm seam); The sunken clubhouse curtain wall is recommended to have a column-free design, with 15+2.28SCP+15mm ultra-white tempered laminated glass, and the seams are closed with metal strips to maximize the sense of space transparency; The roof layer optimizes the shape through a three-point visual measurement of A (110m/1.8m), B (34m/14.3m), and C (26m/1.8m) to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

3. Team introduction

TAM Design set up a special team to deeply participate in the whole process of the project: Yu Jiejie led the curtain wall scheme design, Xu Jiangjiang, Lu Zhen and Wu Wei were responsible for the implementation of the construction drawings, and the project manager Wu Texin coordinated and closely cooperated with Zhejiang Greentown Architectural Design Co., Ltd. to integrate the concept of "quality life, ingenuity to build a home" into every curtain wall detail, helping Jinchen Courtyard to move from drawings to reality and become a benchmark for human settlements with both cultural heritage and modern aesthetics.
