The province's first high-end automotive glass substrate production line was put into operation in Shahe

At 11:18 on June 6, with the ignition command issued, the intelligent production line of automotive glass substrates of Hebei Xinli Glass Co., Ltd. in Shahe City was put into operation. This is the province's first intelligent production line specializing in the production of high-end automotive glass, which will promote the transformation and upgrading of Shahe glass industry cluster from traditional building materials to high-end new fields of automobiles.

It is understood that the production line has a total investment of 530 million yuan, with an annual output of 3.9 million weight boxes of high-quality special float glass for automobiles, and an estimated annual output value of 600 million yuan. The project applies the latest R&D achievements of CNBM Glass New Materials Group Co., Ltd. and China National Building Materials International Engineering Group Co., Ltd., in accordance with the principle of "plant intensification, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and low-carbon energy" and the requirements of advanced domestic and foreign high-quality special float glass technical standards for automobiles. Flue gas desulfurization, denitrification and dust removal environmental protection system, power supply and other auxiliary systems to build a production line with overall technical equipment reaching the international leading level.

"The configuration of the overall production line equipment is the most advanced in the world, and it is currently the best float production line in the world's automotive field." Xu Bin, chairman of China National Building Materials International Engineering Group Co., Ltd., introduced that the production line integrates 12 cutting-edge technologies such as 5G communication, AI visual inspection, and digital twins, and realizes the digitalization of the whole process of seamless integration and sales from material input, product offline, energy management to e-commerce system, finance, inventory and other subsystems. At the same time, the main fuel is natural gas, and the backup fuel is LNG, which achieves the goals of energy saving, emission reduction and carbon reduction, and further enhances the market competitiveness of the product.

In recent years, Shahe City has promoted the rejuvenation of the traditional glass industry through digital empowerment and green transformation, and has invested 4.8 billion yuan in technological transformation funds to complete the transformation of 10 production lines, achieving 100% coverage of intelligent control systems and a 15% reduction in energy consumption. At the same time, the country's first glass origin price index was born here, which became the "barometer" of the industry, allowing Shahe to grasp the right to speak on glass pricing.

"The commissioning of this line provides support for the deep processing of downstream automotive high-end glass and the application of electronic glass, which is of great significance to the transformation and upgrading of Shahe glass industry in the short term, and to improve quality and efficiency." Based on the long-term investigation and research of the Shahe glass industry cluster, Zhou Zhiwu, vice president of the China Architectural Glass and Industrial Glass Association, predicts that by 2026, Shahe is expected to achieve 70% of its production capacity will be transferred to high-end fields such as automotive glass and electronic glass, and at the same time achieve full coverage of A-level environmental protection performance of glass enterprises.
